The position consists mainly of project management tasks for projects located throughout Quebec. The
The HQ project manager will have to follow up on the different steps of the projects in order to ensure their realization according to the standards established by the company:

Plan (documentation at the beginning of the project) and supervise the execution of projects in accordance with the requirements and expectations of the client
Collaborate, follow up and coordinate with clients, subcontractors and construction sites
Analyze the obtained bid
Prepare and follow the work schedule
Prepare requisitions and the list of work to be subcontracted
Purchase materials and services for the work sites
Establish and respect project schedules and deliver work to the client
Supervise and coordinate site activities with the superintendent and the assistant project manager
Follow up with the quality coordinator and the OHS coordinator
Follow up, prepare and negotiate with the client the project amendments
With the assistance of the Quality Manager, ensure the conformity of materials and the quality of the work. Make sure that all inspections provided for in the quality plan are carried out in accordance with the plans and specifications.
Plan all required resources (personnel and machinery) on the work sites at the appropriate time (in collaboration with the HQ department manager)
Carry out the monitoring and measures provided for in the quality plan, plans and specifications
Establish and follow up on invoices
Approve invoicing of suppliers and subcontractors
Attend meetings as part of his duties
Keep up to date with HQ methods and other documentation
Provide leadership to his/her teams in OHS matters
Provide all work methods, engineer certifications, etc. necessary for the safe progress of the work in accordance with the client’s requirements
Ensure the maintenance of a good work climate both internally and in relations with the client
All other related tasks

General requirements

College or university degree in a related discipline (electrical, civil or building engineering)

Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (an asset)
Knowledge of the Hydro-Québec environment (an asset)
More than 5 years of relevant experience on construction sites, ideally in civil or electrical engineering
ASP Construction card and driver’s license required
Great mobility to carry out projects throughout Quebec
Good organizational and planning skills
Proactivity and teamwork
Excellent communication with various stakeholders
Ability to write reports and other documents
Very good knowledge of the Office suite (Word, EXCEL, MS Project)
